Since starting the label we’ve noticed our inbox gradually clogging up with demos from chumps around the world. As such, we’re beginning to develop an intuition to dismiss on sight anything with reference to the Beatport charts, support from random Italian names or residencies in unheard of clubs.
With a pretty bulging release schedule on the horizon, we’re not really on the look out for new material, but occasionally something enters our radar worth a closer look…
DrumTalk caught our attention with a sparse pitch containing a link to his excellent remix for the equally as excellent Sofrito label. After a bit more investigating, this new project from a well established producer, shares an affinity with all we love in African rhythms and his productions display a real depth and refreshing ideas. We expect this won’t be the last you’ll hear of him in the coming months.
